Thoughts on Ministry / Artistic Imbalances

Specialising in art is worthwhile. But if we over-specialise our art it loses substance. That is, because it needs cross-fertilization by other art forms in order to healthily grow into maturity.

The same with specialised Christian ministry. To remain healthy our ministry specialisation requires input from a range of other ministry disciplines (e.g. prayer, theological reflection and study, biblical reading, table fellowship with others, serving, evangelism, contemplation, meditation, playfulness and fun) in order to remain holistic and congruent with the broader Kingdom mission goals and vision of the faith.
